Cameroon: Heavy rain, flooding in Limbe and Douala as of July 25

Heavy rain and associated flooding has been reported in western Cameroon as of Wednesday, July 25. The coastal cities of Limbe (Southwest Region) and Douala (Littoral Region) are the most affected by the recent downpours, with ten fatalities, significant material damages, and transportation disruptions reported in the two locations. Landslides in affected regions have also been reported, resulting in blocked roads. Hazardous conditions are expected to persist in the near-term, with continued heavy rainfall forecast into next week in both Southwest and Littoral regions.
