According to the Peruvian national police (PNP), terrorism has been ruled out as a motive in the two bombings carried out on Tuesday, July 24, in San Isidro (Lima province). The attack, which targeted a health clinic, is believed to be an act of revenge. The perpetrators were reportedly two siblings whose mother was treated at the clinic, and who was allegedly the victim of malpractice.

Context

The two explosions occurred in the vicinity of the Ricardo Palma clinic around 10:30 (local time), leaving 35 people wounded. The first blast was reported in an underground parking lot under the clinic and the second inside a laboratory.
