Namibia: Windhoek to host regional summit August 17-19

A Southern African Development Community (SADC) Summit will be held in Windhoek from August 17-19; heightened security measures expected

Windhoek will host the 38th South African Development Community (SADC) Summit from Friday, August 19, through Sunday, August 19. High-profile delegations from the 16 member states are expected to attend the event, which will be held at the Safari Court Hotel. Heightened security measures and disruptions (including road closures) are anticipated around the event and at Eros Airport (ERS).
