Chad: Fuel shortages in N’djamena since September 16

Event

Fuel shortages have been affecting the capital N'djamena since September 16, resulting in an increase in fuel prices and long queues at gas stations. The shortages are the result of a disagreement between Chadian and Chinese employees at the N'Djamena Refinery Company.

Fuel shortages are quite common in Chad, despite it being an oil producing country.

Advice

Self-driving individuals in the country should try to stock up on fuel where possible to do so. Should scuffles erupt at gas stations, remove yourself as quickly and safely as possible. Consider keeping road movements to a minimum until the situation normalizes.
