France: Car ramming in Nîmes early September 14

Around 01:00 (local time) on Friday, September 14, an individual attempted to drive his car into a crowd in Nîmes, before being stopped by a security barrier. Two people were lightly wounded. The media has reported that witnesses heard him shout "Allah akbar" during the attack, though he is not known for prior extremist actions. The driver has been arrested and an investigation has been opened for attempted murder.
