Thailand: Flood warnings in eight provinces (north, northeast)

The Thai Meteorological Department forecasts more flooding for the north of the country due to the passage of Typhoon Mangkhut, currently moving west through southeastern China. On Sunday, September 16, authorities issued flood and landslide warnings for the north and northeast through Wednesday, September 19. Eight provinces in the northeast and east have already been hit by severe floods affecting tens of thousands of people. In the south, mountain run-off has submerged dozens of villages.
