Bosnia-Herzegovina: Blast reported at oil refinery in Brod October 9

A large blast was reported at an oil refinery in Brod, located near the Bosnian-Croatian border, on the evening (local time) of Tuesday, October 9. According to local sources, the blast - the cause of which remains undetermined - was reported at approximately 21:30. Reports indicate that several workers at the refinery were injured. Firefighters have cordoned off the area. Transportation disruptions are to be anticipated in the area in the coming hours.
