Protest to be held over election of Croat member to Bosnia-Herzegovina’s tripartite presidency on October 11; further protests possible

A protest is set to take place in Mostar on Thursday, October 11, denouncing the election of Zeljko Komsic (Democratic Front) as the Croat member of the country's triumvirate presidency. Participants will gather at 18:00 (local time) at the Mostar University campus, before marching to the Croat President's Office on Nikole Subica Zrinskog Street. Localized traffic disruptions are possible.

Context
General elections took place Bosnia-Herzegovina on Sunday, October 7, amid ethnical tensions, fraud allegations, and general discontentment with the political and electoral system. The elected members of the triumvirate presidency were Milorad Dodik (Bosnian Serb nationalist), Sefik Dzaferovic (Muslim Bosniak party), and Komsic (moderate Croat).
The current complex political system was implemented in 1995 by the Dayton peace agreement, aimed at putting an end to the Bosnian War. The agreement divided the country into two entities: Republika Srpska, predominantly Serb, and the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, predominantly Bosniak and Croat. Each territory has their respective political representation.
