Mexico: Tropical Storm Tara dissipates /update 3

Event

According to the US-based National Hurricane Center, Tropical Storm Tara, which had been located off the western coast of Mexico, dissipated on the evening of Tuesday, October 16 (local time). All warnings have been lifted. The storm’s remnants could, however, produce further rain October 17 in the west of the country.

Context

The Pacific Hurricane Season extends from May 15 to November 30 (and the Atlantic Hurricane Season from June 1 to November 30), with the largest concentration of storms typically occurring between August and October.
