Red and orange alerts for ice and snow issued for parts of Saxony, Bavaria, and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern states on November 30; associated disruptions expected

Red weather alerts, the highest level, were issued on Friday, November 30, for certain regions within the eastern states (länder) of Saxony and Bavaria; snow storms and ice are expected. Orange alerts were also issued for other parts of these regions, as well as for the northern state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
Associated transportation disruptions, including hazardous driving conditions, are expected.
