Mexico: Business closures in Mexico City amid water cuts (Oct. 31 to Nov. 8) /update 3
Water cuts affecting most of Mexico City and parts of Estado de México until November 8 due to maintenance; 135,000 business and schools closed

Some 135,000 business in Mexico City have reportedly closed amid scheduled water cuts affecting 13 of the city's 16 boroughs, as well as 13 municipalities in the surrounding Estado de México state. Schools have also been closed until November 2. Water, cut since October 31, will start being restored on Saturday, November 3, although full services may not be restored in certain areas until November 8.
According to the National Water Commission, Miguel Hidalgo and Cuauhtémoc will experience full cuts until November 3. The following boroughs will experience 70 percent cuts: Álvaro Obregón, Azcapotzalco, Benito Juárez, Coyoacán, Cuajimalpa, Iztacalco, Iztapalapa, Magdalena Contreras, Tlalpan, Tláhuac, and Venustiano Carranza.
The affected Estado de México municipalities are Toluca, Nicolás Romero, Cuatitlán Izcalli, Tultittlán, Coacalco, Cuautitlán, Tecámac, Ecatepec, Nezahualcóyotl, Huixquilucan, Naucalpan, Tlanepantla de Baz, and Atizapán.
Local officials have been sending water trucks and cisterns to affected areas.
