Labor unions call off planned nationwide strike set to begin November 6; normal operations expected

On Monday, November 5, labor unions - the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Trade Union Congress (TUC), and the United Labour Congress (ULC) - decided to call off a nationwide strike initially scheduled to start on Tuesday, November 6, following successful negotiations with the government. As such, normal operations are expected throughout the country.
Context
Unions have been demanding an increased of the national minimum wage from naira 18,000 (USD 50) to naira 30,000 (USD 82).
An associated strike was held September 27-30; workers from private and public sectors participated, leading to significant service disruptions, including flight operations.
