Panama: Water cuts in Panama City December 1-3

Event

Planned water cuts are scheduled for large parts of Panama City beginning on Saturday, December 1, due to maintenance work being carried out at the Chilibre water treatment plant. The entire capital district will be affected with the exception of the following areas: Calidonia, Santa Ana, San Felipe, and El Chorrillo. Cuts will also affect San Miguelito district. Full cuts are expected on Saturday between 05:00 and 18:00 (local time), with running water returning to nearby low-lying areas within 24 hours, and within 48-hours to higher and more distant areas.  Contingency plans will be in effect at hospitals and clinics in affected areas.

Advice

Those present in the capital region are advised to stock up on bottled water and limit water usage on affected days.
