Road closures and traffic disruptions in Bangkok are expected for “Bike Un Ai Rak” cycling event on December 2, 9

Bangkok will host the "Bike Un Ai Rak" cycling event on Sunday, December 9, with a rehearsal taking place on Sunday, December 2. The rehearsal is planned for 15:00 (local time) on December 2 with the main event taking place at 15:00 with a smaller family event starting at 08:00. Transportation disruptions are expected on both days with road closures from 12:00 to 19:00. Crowded public transportation conditions are expected as the government has waived fares for participants on buses, skytrains, subways, and expressways. Residual delays are likely on both days.

An estimated 85,000 people are expected to participate in the December 9 race. Cyclists will start at the Dusit Palace in Bangkok and proceed across the Chao Phraya River to Lat Pho Park in Samut Prakan before returning on a similar route.
