Italy: Demonstration planned in Milan December 19

Street market workers called for a demonstration to be held in Milan on Wednesday, December 19, to protest the future creation of a no-polluting-vehicle zone. Some 200 demonstrators were slated to gather at Bastioni di Porta Venezia at 16:00 (local time) and march along Viale Majno, Viale Bianca Maria, Viale Regina Margherite, Viale Caldara, Viale Filippetti, Viale Beatrice d'Este, and Viale G. Galeazzo, and end at Piazza XXIV Maggio between 18:00 and 19:00. A heightened security presence and associated transportation disruptions are to be anticipated in the vicinity of the demonstration.
