Singapore: North East Line to undergo renewal work from January 4 /update 1
North East Line (NEL), or Purple Line, MRT stations to undergo renewal works from January 4 to March 2

Singapore's Land Transport Authority (LTA) will limit weekend service to MRT stations along the North East Line (NEL), or Purple Line, due to maintenance and construction work from January 4 to March 2, 2019. The affected stations, which include Serangoon, Kovan, Hougang, Buangkok, Sengkang, and Punggol, will close at 23:00 (local time) on Fridays and Saturdays. Service for the remainder of the line will operate with longer intervals between trains during the construction period. Shuttle bus service will be provided for affected commuters.
