Police officers stage nationwide strike January 14-16 to protest killing of two police officers in Nafona

Unions representing police officers throughout Burkina Faso have organized a 72-hour strike from Monday, January 14, through Wednesday, January 16. The strike has been organized to protest the killing of two police officers in the village of Nafona (Comoé province) on Saturday, January 12. Further strikes and associated demonstrations are possible in the coming days.
