Canada: Disruptions expected following bus crash in Ottawa January 11 /update 1

Emergency services are responding to a bus accident at the Westboro station in Ottawa on the afternoon (local time) of Friday, January 11. According to officials, the incident occurred at approximately 15:30 and involved a single double-decker bus. At least 12 people were injured in the accident when the vehicle hit a bus shelter. OC Transpo, Ottawa's public transit service, has halted all bus traffic on the Transitway and public transportation disruptions are expected until the investigation is complete. City officials have advised individuals to avoid the area. Residual traffic disruptions are expected in the coming hours.
