South Africa: Disruptions likely following train collision in Pretoria January 8

Residual rail disruptions are anticipated throughout Gauteng province after a train collision occurred in at Wolmerton train station in the Mountain View area of Pretoria on Tuesday, January 8. According to local sources, the collision, which occurred shortly before 09:00 (local time) led to the death of at least three people. In addition, at least 620 people were injured in the incident. An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the collision.
