Environment Canada has issued a winter storm warning for snowfall in western British Columbia, including Vancouver, for Monday, February 11. The winter storm system is forecast to bring snowfall totals of 10-15 cm (4-6 in) through Tuesday evening (local time), February 12, to Vancouver Island and surrounding areas, while wind chill values are expected to drop to -20°C (-4°F) in Whistler and Howe Sound.

Significant transportation disruptions, including numerous road and highway closures and flight delays and cancelations, are to be expected in affected areas over the coming hours and days. Infrastructure failures, including power outages and pipe bursts, are also possible.
