At least 13 people were treated for injuries after being exposed to an unknown chemical substance at an ophthalmology clinic in central Erfurt (Thuringia state) on Friday, February 22. Authorities established a perimeter on Anger square for several hours on Friday morning (local time) while firefighters tested the air for the substance. According to local sources, authorities were unable to identify the substance and the area reopened to traffic shortly after.
