Cyprus: Taxi drivers to strike in all cities March 27

Taxi driver union plans two-hour full suspension of services on March 27; all cities, including airports and ports, are expected to be affected

The Pancyprian Urban Taxi Federation (POAT-POVEK) announced on Saturday, March 23, that its members would hold a two-hour strike on Wednesday, March 27. The strike will result in a complete suspension of taxi services from 07:00 to 09:00 (local time) on Wednesday in all cities, inclusive of ports and airports. Transportation disruptions and residual delays are expected during and following the strike.
