Orange weather alerts (the second highest on a four-tier scale) due to strong winds are in effect across much Germany as of Wednesday evening (local time), March 13, following several days of severe weather across the country. As a result, Deutsche Bahn (Germany's national railway) warned of possible disruptions to train service across much of the country on Wednesday and advised travelers to verify their itineraries prior to departure.
