Demonstration planned in Beirut March 6 to show solidarity with anti-government protesters in Sudan; localized traffic disruptions expected

The Lebanese Communist Party has announced a demonstration in Beirut on Wednesday, March 6, in solidarity with anti-government protesters in Sudan. Protesters are expected to gather outside the Arab League offices near the Achrafieh district at 18:00 (local time). Localized traffic disruptions are to be expected near the demonstration.
Context
Civil society groups worldwide have staged demonstrations in support of ongoing anti-government protests in Sudan which broke out in December 2018. Human rights groups claim as many as 50 people have died and 1000 others have been arrested since the protests began in Sudan.
