Gas explosions reported in Kropyvnytskyi (Kirovohrad oblast) March 27; Kovalivka area left without power

Multiple large explosions were reported at a gas station in Kropyvnytskyi (Kirovohrad oblast) on Wednesday evening (local time), March 27. Emergency responders have been dispatched to the scene to extinguish an associated fire. The explosions broke windows in nearby buildings and consequent power outages have been reported in Kovalivka district. The number of associated casualties was not immediately reported.

Continuing power outages and traffic disruptions are to be expected in Kropyvnytskyi over the coming hours as emergency teams attempt to extinguish the fire.
