Unidentified assailants killed at least eight people and wounded four others in Zoaga (Centre-Est region) during the overnight hours (local time) of Sunday, March 31, into Monday, April 1. Officials deployed security reinforcements to the area, which they say has been the site of previous intercommunal violence. Similar attacks are possible in the area over the coming weeks.
