Iraq: Bomb explosion wounds 17 soldiers in Fallujah (Anbar province) April 16

A bomb explosion wounded 17 Iraqi soldiers in Nuaimiya (Anbar province), south of Fallujah, on Tuesday, April 16. The soldiers were conducting a mine-clearing operation at the time of the explosion. Islamic State (IS) militants are suspected to have planted the bomb. Similar incidents are possible in areas of Iraq formerly controlled by the IS group over the near term.
