Police evacuated roughly 700 people from the main passenger terminal building at Kyiv International Airport (IEV) following an anonymous bomb threat on Thursday, April 25. Authorities later cleared the airport and reopened the terminal after finding no trace of explosives. 

A heightened security presence and lingering disruptions are possible at IEV over the coming hours. 

Context

On April 23, the terminal buildings at Kyiv International Airport (IEV) and Odessa International Airport (ODS) were evacuated due to hoax bomb threats. Bomb threats were also made against several buildings in Kharkov on April 25.

Individuals traveling via IEV are advised to prepare for possible flight disruptions (including delays and cancelations) and adhere to all instructions issued by the local authorities.
