Albania: Student protest planned in Tirana May 22

Student groups are slated to stage a to protest in Tirana on Wednesday, May 22, to call on the government to fulfill education-related pledges, including reducing tuition fees. The demonstration is scheduled to begin at 12:00 (local time) in front of the Ministry of Education, Sport, and Youth building.

A heightened security presence and traffic disruptions are to be expected near the demonstration.
