Italy: Airline and ground staff plan additional strike May 21 /update 1

Airport ground staff have already announced a 24-hour strike on Friday, May 17. Train, maritime, and other transportation unions are also planning work stoppages May 17 throughout Italy. Significant transportation disruptions are possible during the strikes including delays, modified timetables, and last-minute cancelations. Increased waiting times at airports and related flight disruptions are also anticipated.
