Peru: Nationwide earthquake and tsunami drill May 31

Event

The National Emergency Operations Center (COEN) is conducting an earthquake and tsunami drill throughout Peru from 10:00 (local time) on Friday, May 31. The drill typically begins with sirens and an announcement over loudspeakers. Directions to designated evacuation zones will be issued by authorities and community volunteers. Numerous sectors are expected to take part, including businesses, government offices, hotels, and educational institutions.
