LGBTQI+ groups plan Toronto Pride parade on June 23; heightened security measures and associated disruptions expected

Various LGBT groups will hold a Pride parade in Toronto (Ontario province) on Sunday, June 23, to support equal rights for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and intersex people. The parade will begin at 14:00 (local time) from the intersection of Church and Bloor streets and continue on Yonge Street, Dundas Street, to Victoria Street. Toronto Pride organizers have released a map of all events and associated road closures here.
Heightened security measures and associated traffic disruptions are expected around all Pride events. Counter-demonstrations cannot be ruled out.
