Lebanon: Protest planned in Beirut June 12

Anti-hate speech supporters are planning to hold a protest in Beirut on Wednesday, June 12, to denounce of the Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil's recent declarations, perceived as fueling hatred and xenophobia towards refugees. Protesters are expected to gather at 18:30 (local time) in downtown Beirut.

Heightened security measures and localized traffic disruptions are expected near the demonstration site.
