Peru: Water suspensions announced in Lima and Callao July 5-7

Construction work to build metro line 2 will cause water supply suspensions in various districts in both Lima and Callao from Friday, July 5, until Sunday, July 7. The districts affected are: Breña, Pueblo Libre, Lince, Jesús María, Magdalena, Miraflores, Callao, San Miguel, San Isidro, Rímac, El Agustino, San Luis, La Perla, Ate, Bellavista, Cercado de Lima, Carmen de la Legua, La Victoria, La Punta, and Surquillo.

A total of 240 water cisterns will be made available for free in both cities.  

Advice

Individuals in Lima and Callao are advised to conserve water, stock up on bottled water, keep abreast of the situation via local media outlets, and adhere to all instructions issued by the local authorities (e.g. water rationing measures).
