6.3-magnitude offshore earthquake hits near Kamchatka Krai June 25; further aftershocks possible

The US Geological Survey (USGS) recorded a 6.3-magnitude earthquake off Kamchatka Krai on Tuesday, June 25, at approximately 21:00 (local time). The earthquake struck approximately 105 km (65 mi) east of Ust-Kamchatsk at a depth of 10 km (6.2 mi). There were no immediate reports of damages or casualties. No tsunami warning was issued by the US Pacific Tsunami Warning Center (PTWC). Aftershocks are possible in the coming hours and days.
