Comoros: Security incidents reported across Anjouan as of July 14

Event

French diplomatic authorities issued a security alert on Sunday, July 14, warning of recent explosions across Anjouan, including in Ouani and Mutsamudu.  The source of the explosions has not immediately been identified and no claim of responsibility was immediately reported. Authorities cautioned those on Anjouan island to maintain heightened vigilance, particularly during nighttime hours. Similar incidents are possible in Comoros over the near term.
