Germany: Frankfurt Central Station resumes train service following police operation August 2 /update 1

The Frankfurt Central Station has reopened, and train service has resumed as of approximately 16:30 (local time) on Friday, August 2, following a police operation in the area that caused the station to close earlier in the day. Police ordered the station to close after a suspected bank robbery in the nearby Düsseldorfer Strasse area. Police have reportedly arrested three suspects in connection with the crime.

A heightened security presence and residual transportation disruptions (including possible train delays and cancelations at Frankfurt Central Station) are to be expected in the abovementioned areas in Frankfurt over the coming hours.
