Pride parade to be held in Sarajevo on September 8; heightened security presence and associated transportation disruptions expected

Sarajevo is scheduled to hold a Pride parade between 12:00 and 14:00 (local time) on Sunday, September 8, to support equal rights for lesbian, gays, bisexual, transgender, queer, and intersex people. The parade is due to start at Kulovića Street and will head to Trg BiH via Maršala Tita Street and Hastahana Park.
A heightened security presence and localized transportation disruptions are expected along the parade route. Counterprotests cannot be ruled out.
