A 6.8-magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of Chile, some 66 km (40 mi) west-southwest of Constitución, around 12:57 (local time) on Sunday, September 29. No tsunami warning was immediately issued; details regarding potential casualties and material damages were not immediately reported.
