Two anti-government protests are planned in Chillán (Ñuble Region) on Wednesday, September 18, amid Independence Day celebrations taking place nationwide. Groups in Chillán are planning the protest to mirror recent nationwide anti-government protest that took place on September 5, calling for social unity. One group of protesters is scheduled to gather at the Paseo Arauco de Chillán at 12:00 (local time), while the second group will meet at the main Maipon corner at 18:30.

Associated transportation disruptions are likely around the gathering.
