An Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 767 rejected take-off following an engine failure, resulting in the explosion of several of its tires at Jeddah Airport (JED) on the morning (local time) of Thursday, September 12. The incident has caused the closure of a runway for eight hours due to clearing procedures to remove the aircraft.

Residual disruptions, including flight delays and cancelations, are possible at JED over the coming hours.
