Canada: Ongoing environmental protests in Halifax October 7

Online sources have reported an environmental protest in Halifax as of the morning (local time) on Monday, October 7. Participants had planned on blocking the Macdonald Bridge though police forces were on the scene before the scheduled protest to close it. Protesters are now protesting in surrounding roads.

Localized transportation disruptions are to be expected, as well as a heightened security presence.
