Canada: Road closures planned amid Toronto marathon October 19-20

Authorities announce several road closures in Toronto during annual marathon between October 19-20; significant transportation disruptions expected

Authorities have announced several road closures for the annual Scotiabank Waterfront Marathon set to take place in Toronto from 08:45 (local time) on Sunday, October 20. Some closures will be in place from 11:00 on Saturday, October 19, and will remain in effect until 20:00 on Sunday, including Bay Street from Dundas Street West to Queen Street West. Hagerman, Elizabeth, James, and Albert streets will also reportedly be affected.

On Sunday, parts of Lakeshore Boulevard, Bayview Avenue, and Queens Quay are expected to be closed. Road closures are also planned on University Avenue, Bloor, Harbord, Bay, Wellington, Front, and Bathurst streets.
