Two high-profile events scheduled in Prague on October 11-13; heightened security measures expected

Two high-profile events have been scheduled in Prague, taking place between Friday, October 11, and Sunday, October 13. The first event is a public farewell for the late singer Karel Gott, a highly celebrated musician in the country. It is scheduled to take place on Friday at the Žofín Palace from 08:00 to 22:00 (local time).
In addition, the Signal Festival of lights is scheduled through the weekend, bringing thousands of visitors to the capital. The installations are spread across the city and will be open to the public until Sunday at 22:00. The opening ceremony will take place on Friday at 19:00 at the Smetana Embankment, where the largest installation is located.
