Morocco: Air traffic controllers to launch partial nationwide strike October 30-November 14

Air traffic controllers call for partial strike October 30-November 14; flight disruptions expected at airports nationwide

Warning

Event

Air traffic controllers are planning to hold a partial nationwide strike for 15 days starting on Wednesday, October 30, until Thursday, November 14, to demand greater representation in the decision-making process of the Moroccan Airport Authority (ONDA). The industrial action will restrict takeoff and landing to only one airplane every 30 minutes at Moroccan airports during the strike period, which may cause delays of up to 10 hours. Additionally, the pace of work will be reduced to a minimum.

Flight delays and cancelations are to be expected at airports across Morocco for the duration of the strike action.

Advice

Individuals flying to or from Morocco are advised to monitor the situation, confirm the status of their flights, and anticipate consequent delays and cancelations.
