As of Tuesday, October 29, a fine dust advisory was issued for Seoul at 05:00 (local time). According to the National Institute of Environmental Research (NIER), the concentration of PM10 fine dust which was above officially designated safe levels (150 micrograms per cubic meter of air) in 25 districts across the capital at around 04:00, fell to 125 micrograms per cubic meter at 08:00. The situation is caused by strong winds, which brought yellow dust from China and Mongolia.

Individuals present in Seoul are advised to keep abreast of the situation, limit outdoor activities until the situation normalize or wear N95 rated masks as a protection. Children and those with chronic respiratory illnesses should exercise increased caution. Individuals are advised to seek medical attention if experiencing breathing difficulties or other health concerns.
