Informational

Anti-government activists plan to stage demonstrations in Seoul the afternoon of Nov. 20. The Korean Confederation of Trade Unions (KCTU) will rally at the Seoul Regional Employment and Labor Office in Seoul 14:00-17:00 to demand President Yoon Suk Yeol's resignation. Separately, the Korean Peasant Federation will gather at Sungnyemun Gate from 15:00 before marching to Seoul Station, Hangang-daero, and Namyeong Intersection. Hundreds of thousands of people could attend related events.

Authorities will probably increase security and may impose traffic restrictions, mainly around Hangang-daero. Localized traffic disruptions are likely, especially if activists block roads. While violence is unlikely, clashes between protesters and police cannot be ruled out.

Avoid the protests as a precaution. Leave the area at the first sign of security disturbance. Confirm road status and transport reservations, especially in downtown Seoul. Allow additional time for travel; use alternative routes to circumvent rally sites. Heed all local security and traffic advisories.
