Slovakia: Bus crash near Nitra leaves 12 dead November 13

At least 12 people were killed and 17 more were injured when a truck collided with a public bus near the city of Nitra (Nitra region) on Wednesday, November 13. Local officials stated that the truck skidded into the bus, which was traveling on a regular line from Nitra to Jelenec, at approximately 13:00 (local time) on Wednesday. The cause of the accident is unknown; rescue operations are underway as of Wednesday evening.

Transportation disruptions, including road closures and public transport delays, are possible in the area over the coming hours and days.
