South Korea: Adverse weather kills four nationwide July 13
At least four die amid nationwide adverse weather on July 13; follow authority directives and maintain a heightened sense of vigilance

At least four people were killed as the result of adverse weather across South Korea as of Monday, July 13. Two of the fatalities reportedly occurred in Hamyang (South Gyeongsang province), one in Daegu (North Gyeongsang province), and another in Anseong (Gyeonggi province), all in adverse weather-related incidents. Adverse weather was also recorded in North and South Gyeongsang province, North and South Jeolla province. Landslides and damages to properties and infrastructure have also been widely reported in affected regions.
Further rainfall has been forecast in the provinces of Gyeonggi, North and South Chungcheong, and Jeju on Tuesday, July 14. Rainfall and associated flooding and landslides is to be expected across affected areas of South Korea.
Disruption resulting from adverse weather is to be expected in the coming hours and days.
Advice
Individuals in the affected areas are advised to monitor local weather reports, avoid areas directly affected by flooding, confirm road conditions, anticipate transportation and business disruptions, and adhere to instructions issued by local authorities. Avoid walking or driving through floodwaters; 15 cm (6 in) of running water is enough to knock over an adult.
