Lebanon: Demonstrators to gather in Beirut on September 19

Demonstrators are set to gather in Beirut on Saturday, September 19, to denounce alleged heavy-handed response by security forces to disperse demonstrators. Participants will reportedly gather at 18:00 (local time) at the Beirut courthouse before marching to the Military Court.

A heightened security presence and localized disruptions are expected in the vicinity of any demonstration. Clashes between demonstrators and security forces cannot be ruled out.
